Ronald I. Lappin, a philanthropist who lost  most of his personal fortune in the Bernard Madoff scandal has paid $5 million out of his own pocket to restore the retirement savings of employees who lost money in the multibillion-dollar scam.

It’s a crying shame that they can’t all those people’s money back. They should put that man in a regular prison with all dem jailbirds and let him feel the pain that all those people are feeling without their money! He’s got 75 year old people going back to work cause they have nothing! What a monster!

At least there are people like Ronald who are trying to help others out. This was a very unfortunate situation (Madoff) and hopefully those who lost their money are able to somehow get back on their feet.
